Beliefs
Kingdom | Trinitarian | Charismatic
We subscribe to the basic tenants of Christian Faith and the Nicene Creed. Our belief system is one that values the many viewpoints within the Body of Christ across denominational lines. We all see in part and through honor and communication, we can all grow in our understanding of God, the bible, the church, and His heart for all creation. Inasmuch, we also identify with certain beliefs that match our calling, personality, and spiritual heritage.
Identity - We identify as a kingdom-focused ministry who believe that the Kingdom of God is present on the earth now and that it is advancing towards fullness through the church, the agency of the kingdom.
Theology - We align with Trinitarian Theology that is rooted in the early church and expressed in the Nicene and Apostle’s Creeds. We believe in the Trinity- Father, Son, and Spirit and humanity’s inclusion through the Incarnation of Christ.
Pneumatology - We believe in the full operation and gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church today and that the presence of God is available to all.
Soteriology - We believe that salvation was delivered to humanity through the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ and provides salvation to all creation. Those who choose to participate with this Good Message know God as He knows them and experience His presence and joy.
Eschatology - We believe in victorious eschatology, that the culmination of God’s plan is the union of heaven and earth and that through the life of Christ, all will experience their eternal place in God’s family.
Transformation - We believe that all are growing in Christ in measure to their faith and that all may see and experience Him differently. We also believe that in Christ and Creation, we see God’s heart and blueprint for us to experience fullness as sons and daughters. Knowing this fullness is knowing our identity or image in Him. Where this fullness has yet to take root, we may be operating in imagelessness (sin) in areas of our lives. While we are already forgiven, we may be growing in our understanding of forgiveness as we transform (metanoia) our lives more and more into His image.
Bibliology - We believe that the Bible is the metanarrative of God’s heart for humanity. It reveals the Living Word, Jesus, and invites us to know and experience Him.
Design - We believe God’s design is inclusive for all, but evidence of the Spirit looks like an actively transforming life. God’s family is mirrored in the Trinity and the blueprint for family is revealed in the Creator and Creation, Heaven and Earth, and Husband and Wife design found in Genesis and in the New Testament. A healthy and free life will follow God’s eternal, redemptive, and restorative plan for all humanity. Freedom for all isn’t freedom to sin (remaining outside of His image) but freedom from sin (being transformed by His image).
Unity - We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ. Unity is found not in agreement on every doctrine or worship expression, but through valuing one another as the family of God. Our learning environment honors views within the tenants of the Christian faith but understands that we all have different lenses through which we experience God.
